Early China: Research Databases for Primary and Secondary Sources（早期中國研究資料庫）
The list of databases contains three categories. The first focuses on transmitted texts—primary sources produced in pre-imperial China and the Qin and Han dynasties. The second consists of datasets devoted to excavated texts from specific regions. The third is a bibliography covering scholarship on ancient China published in Western languages. Please do not hesitate to inform the compiler of errors or omissions.

CHANT includes six browsable and searchable databases of traditional Chinese texts, covering materials from the Pre-Han period (before 220 AD) through the Six Dynasties (up to 581 AD). It is widely used for research on transmitted classical texts.

The Scripta Sinica project provides a comprehensive full-text database based on reliable sources, including Zhonghua Shuju editions. The Twenty-Five Histories—such as the Shiji 史記, Hanshu 漢書, and Hou Hanshu 後漢書—as well as the Thirteen Classics are available as open-access resources.
Goldin, Paul R. Ancient Chinese Civilization: Bibliography of Materials in Western Languages.
This open-access searchable bibliography covers Western scholarship on ancient China from the Neolithic through the pre-Buddhist era and contains more than 16,500 entries (though the definition of “pre-Buddhist” is inevitably fuzzy).

It is an open-access, searchable database that contains an extensive collection of Han dynasty bamboo and wooden slips, along with associated artifacts—over 13,000 pieces in total. The most representative are the Juyan Han Slips 居延漢簡 excavated in 1930, but the collection also includes portions of the Loubenoer Han Slips 羅布淖爾漢簡, Dunhuang Han Slips 敦煌漢簡, and the Wuwei Lamawan Han Slips 武威剌麻灣漢簡.
